The world’s largest cruise ship will be making its first ever port of call into Southampton today.

The Royal Caribbean cruise ship, Oasis of the Seas, features an incredible array of facilities including: 20 swimming pools and whirlpools, surf simulator, rock climbing walls, zipline, an outdoor park with real grass, a seaside boardwalk, an ice rink and a 750-seat AquaTheater modelled on an ancient greek amphitheatre, where guests can watch synchronised swimming, water ballet and professional high-diving.

Passengers will never go hungry or thirsty on their transatlantic crossing, with 37 bars and more than 20 cafes and restaurants. There are also over 10,000 square feet of shopping on board ranging from designer boutiques to gift shops.

At 1,187 feet it is longer than the Shard is tall and is wider than six London buses parked end to end! It can accommodate over 5,400 guests and has a staggering 2,394 members of crew on board at all times.
