Travel Image of the Week: South Africa

For some of the most diverse landscapes on Earth, South Africa can’t be beat. From exploring forests and deserts to relaxing by the sea and hiking along the coastline, the Eastern Cape holds some serious potential for adventure and discovery. Of course, another coveted activity to embark on in this part of the world is a safari, and according to this week’s chosen travel blogger, the Shamwari Game Reserve is a great choice.

This magnificent photo was taken amidst a quest to spot the ‘big five’. This title encapsulates the five most difficult and dangerous animals to hunt on foot in Africa. Some safari-goers challenge themselves to spot them, though of course, shooting only with their cameras. The other animals in the group are the lion, rhino, leopard and buffalo.
