Famous Movie Hotels in the USA

We cannot be all Hollywood stars but at least we can experience stardom and VIP treatment in one of the hotels and resorts that have been featured in films throughout time. Below is a list of some USA hotels that made it to the big screen.

Bellagio Las Vegas was featured in Ocean’s Eleven from 2001, starring Brad Pitt, George Clooney and Julia Roberts.

Caesars Palace was featured in Rain Main (1988), Rush Hour 2 (2001), The Hangover (2009), The Sopranos Season 6, Iron Man and many other productions. You can see either the casino, the lobby, the pool or duplex suite featured in these movies.

The Plaza New York had its most important appearance in 1959’s North by Northwest. Then we saw this New York hotel on our TV screens every Christmas since 1992 as our channels were blessed with re-runs of Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. Then The Plaza was featured in Sleepless in Seattle (1993), Bride Wars (2009) and more recently in the 2013 production of The Great Gatsby.

The most notable feature of The Plaza is the 1956 TV film Eloise and then in 2003 Eloise At The Plaza. The hotel offers a unique experience called Eloise at the Plaza selling unique merchandise, a place where guests can watch their favourite Eloise movie clips or have a birthday party.

Monte Carlo Resort & Casino, Riviera Hotel & Casino and Circus Circus Hotel & Casino were some of the filming locations of Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery (1997).
Scent of a Woman’s famous scene was filmed in the ballroom of The Pierre, A Taj Hotel, New York where Frank and Donna danced the tango.
