Our experts have travelled the globe to ensure they have the best insight and knowledge of a destination. Our Caribbean Sales Executive, Mark Fearon Courtney, went to Grenada and shares his knowledge below:
I have been to Grenada before and I love it even more now as it a real gem that has not changed and over developed to lose its charm. The crime is the lowest of low and the people are really friendly.
What to Do:
Make sure you do a tour of this island as it is breath-taking. Please visit the markets downtown, as well as Fort Frederick, Concord Waterfalls, The nutmeg and the coco processing plants. The rum factories and snorkel or dive the underwater sculpture Park or River Tubing.
Where to Stay:
Coyaba Beach Resort is situated on the best beach in Grenada in my opinion; Grand Anse Beach and just 15 minutes from the airport to boot. It is such lovely hotel and located in an incredible setting. It is also very good value for money on an all-inclusive basis and within walking distance to some local shops and night clubs.
Mount Cinnamon Beach Resort; I love this place. I am going to buy a Villa here. Set on a hill with its own walkway down to the best beach, Grand Anse. The villas are stunning and spacious with beautiful views. The food is great and we had a bonfire dinner with really good entertainment on the beach one night.
Spice Island Beach Resort. What can I say? Royalty stay here, say no more. I had my own Luxury Almond Pool suite with daily afternoon delivery of canapés and stocked with enough liquor to have a party in my private pool. The food is fabulous in a white glove service atmosphere. This hotel is next door to Coyaba Beach resort but you would never know it.
How to Travel:
I travelled in Business class and it was one of the best services I have ever had in this class. The staff were great.
